Renee Natasha McLean, professionally known as Renee 6:30, is a Jamaican dancer, actress, model, and choreographer. Renowned for her extreme flexibility and signature 6:30 dance position, she has become one of the most recognized figures in the dancehall industry.
Early Life & Background
Born on June 1st at Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica, Renee was raised in Portmore by her aunt. She attended Mona High School and was actively involved in church. At 17, she moved in with her mother, where she fully embraced her passion for dance and began exploring her talents. Her unique gymnastic dance style, combined with her vibrant personality, quickly made her a standout in the dancehall scene.
Rise to Fame
Inspired by legendary Dancehall Queens Carlene Smith and Sher Rumbar, Renee decided to transform her love for dance into a career, establishing her brand as Renee 6:30. She got her first major break in 2012, collaborating with Magnum Tonic Wine Jamaica and featuring in hit music videos like:
